Owner and Director
Matt had his heart set on becoming a carpenter for as long as he can remember, graduating at the top of his class for year 12 Woodwork then dove straight into an apprenticeship. Transitioning to a Builder was a no brainer for him as he loved his trade and wanted to take his career to the next level. After completing his Certificate IV in Building in 2018 Matt set out to start his own business, Matte Building.
Matt is described by his friends as the nicest guy you’ll ever meet, so if you want a kind, reliable and hard working builder, Matt is your guy.
THE DREAM TEAM
The team at Matte Building have been hand selected for their professionalism, expertise and passion for carpentry. Along side our builder we have our leading hand carpenter with 18 years of industry experience and senior carpenter with 14 years of experience who help oversee and maintain quality on every project. Each team member brings a unique set of skills, are hard working and quite simply legends, on and off-site.
Our culture is based on respect, productivity, quality and clarity. We value a positive working environment, and the benefits of this flow onto our clients and our families.
How long is the wait time to start building with a Newcastle builder?
At Matte Building, our start times for new projects are generally 6–9 months. This is simply because we have a steady flow of confirmed work already scheduled, and we want to give every client the time and attention their project deserves. Booking early ensures your spot on our schedule and allows us to plan your build properly from day one.
